Hi there! I’m Shyvon, a freelance composer and arranger based in Singapore!

 

A graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Music, I mainly compose for intercultural ensembles that mix Western and Asian instrumentation, as well as in scoring for film and other visual media. As a contemporary composer, I love pushing creative boundaries, and have experimented with pitched wine bottles and generative (non-AI) music in one of my personal projects :D
 

My passion for music began at the age of five, where I learnt classical piano and earned ABRSM Grade 8 in both music theory and piano. In my formative years, I ventured into the electric and acoustic guitar, as well as Western percussion, specialising in the marching snare drum and mallet percussion instruments.​

Today, I'm a multi-instrumentalist actively performing on Indonesian gamelan instruments, keyboard, and acoustic guitar for various corporate events. I also teach piano, drums, and acoustic guitar, and take joy in nurturing my students’ creativity and passion for music!

On days when I’m not doing music, you can find me interacting with community cats, exploring art exhibitions, cafe hopping, and photography :)
